Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

A comparative analysis of various designs of devices for feed input into fractionating columns was made using CFD modeling. The feed supply rate at which special feeding devices are not required was determined. A comparative estimation was made of the separation zone height and hydraulic resistance at various feed supply rates for various designs of feed input devices as well as for hollow columns (without a feed input device). The proportion of feed distillation was found to affect the performance indices of various feed input devices.
