Non-Destructive Monitoring of Gearbox and Drive Shaft Strength

Methods are provided for operational evaluation of shaft static and fatigue strengths. Methods for determining yield strength under bending or torsional moment loading are presented. Methods are also given for determining fatigue limit in bending and torsion based on features of elastoplastic impression of an indenter into a test component.
