An analysis of the effectiveness of the process of primary oil treatment in separator tanks based on mathematical methods and methods of systems analysis is conducted. (Note that it is especially important to increase the effectiveness of the process under the conditions of deposits with oil reserves that are hard to recover and that possess a lengthy service life.) A functional diagram of the technological plant is developed. An analysis of the structure of the process control design is carried out and a graph of the simulated transient process is obtained. From the simulation results, it is established that the transient process curve decays after approximately 20·103 s (5.56 h).
