Influence of Minimally Permissible Quantity of Source Materials on the Probability of Failure of a Pump−Tank System

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

A mathematical model is proposed and practical implementation of an assessment of the reliability of equipment with the use of Markov models is considered. An assessment of the increase of failure-free performance of the entire plant as a function of the minimum residual levels of source materials in the intermediate tanks with failure of the auxiliary equipment is obtained.
