Comprehensive Assessment of Wastewater Quality in the Production of Cephalothin Sodium Salt

  • INDUSTRIAL ECOLOGY
  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

Wastewaters from different stages of cephalothin sodium salt production were investigated. A method for the comprehensive assessment of wastewater quality in the production of β-lactam cephalosporin is proposed, based on parameters for integrated assessment of wastewater quality. An algorithm for selecting the wastewater treatment method for the particular production is offered on the basis of the proposed integrated assessment.
