A new method is proposed for manufacturing compressor equipment floating ring seal assemblies, differing in the fact that an intermediate copper layer is applied by electroerosion to their inner cylindrical surface before tinning, increasing steel substrate adhesive strength with an antifriction babbit layer by 35%.
