This study is devoted to improvement in the operating efficiency of a compressor pump. A piston seal built in the form of a concentric slit with an isolated channel in the body of the piston, which is connected to the pump cavity through an automated check valve is analyzed. Basic results of the analyses are presented for the piston seal with an isolated groove and for a piston seal with an isolated groove with a built-in check valve.
