A brief description is given of a high-efficiency universal industrial two-screw pump, A1 2VV 400/20, with a delivery of 400 m3/h at 20 MPa differential pressure. The results of tests of the pump in oil and water are furnished. Formulas for calculating volumetric and mechanohydraulic efficiency of this pump having double-threaded screws are given. The formulas are derived by processing experimental data in generalized (dimensionless) coordinates and are valid for pumping fluids without free gas. They can be used for rough calculations in the case where gas-liquid mixture is pumped.
