A Study of the Cavitation Sensitivity of Screw Conveyors of Variable Step

Results of tests of a screw conveyor of variable step are presented. It is shown that the cavitation sensitivity of a screw conveyor is substantially improved if the step of the blades at the inlet is greater than the step of the blades at the outlet.
