Rollers with Peripheral Heat-Supply Channels for Treatment of Plastics and Rubber Mixtures (a survey of patents)

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

The requirements imposed on calendar rollers and cylinders for treatment of polymers and synthetic materials using these units are presented. It is shown that rollers with peripheral channels that allow for movement of liquid heat-transfer agents are the most preferable. Designs of rollers and methods of improving them are considered.
