Practical aspects of development of standards for calculating strength of vessels and apparatuses

The viewpoint of one of the developers of the collection of national standards GOST R 52857.1–2007 – GOST R 52857.12–2007 “Vessels and Apparatuses. Norms and Methods of Strength Calculation” on the problems of support for standards over their life cycle is elucidated and recommendations are offered on the definition of some basic terms used in the normative documents.
