A method is proposed for evaluation of the floatability of minerals. It consists in determination of the possibility that mineral particles with dissimilar levels of surface characteristics will attach to air bubbles on the basis of analysis of the potential energy of bubble–particle interaction. The extended DLVO theory, which permits quantitative estimation of the aggregate stability of disperse systems, is used for the case in question.
