Vibration isolators for oil- and gas-transfer equipment with a low vibration frequency

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

The negative effect of vibration on entities used for the transport of oil and gas is analyzed. Systems with quasi-zero stiffness are employed as vibration isolators with a low natural-vibration frequency. The effectiveness of such use is experimentally confirmed. A promising design of a compact effective vibration isolator and a method for modernization of vibration-protection systems that have already been assembled are proposed.
