Laboratory production of aluminum hydride and the effect of raw-material quality on the properties of the end product

Dissolution of aluminum chloride in firo-toluol mixtures is investigated, and the effect of impurities contained in the solutions on the quality of the aluminum hydride is analyzed. Production procedures making it possible to acquire solutions free of ethoxy-compound impurities are proposed.
