Method of estimating time characteristics of the removal of dissolved gas from a compressed gas during bubbling

Physical and mathematical models of heat-and mass-exchange processes are presented for the removal of any dissolved extraneous gas from low-temperature compressed gas as this same substance in the gaseous state is bubbled through the compressed gas. The time intervals of the following basic processes are calculated: vaporization of some of the compressed gas into a gas bubble as the bubbles cool; and diffusion of the dissolved extraneous gas from the compressed gas in a bubble. The removal of dissolved helium from compressed neon is calculated for various initial bubble radii, heights of the layers of compressed gas in the vessel, and the relative bulk speed of the gaseous neon being delivered, and the dependence of the overall relative volume of gaseous neon delivered on these quantities is also analyzed.
