A model for the cooling of an elastomer coating on cloth after thermal vulcanization

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

A model is considered for the cooling of an elastomer coating on a cloth basis when coiled into a roll. Calculations have been performed on the temperature patterns in the cooling roll in accordance with the model. Special changes in the cooling conditions are established that minimize the possible deviation of the finished product quality from given values.
