Calculation of the torque of a cylindrical magnetic clutch

An expression is given for calculation of the torque of a cylindrical magnetic clutch with highly coercive permanent magnets in the form of rectangular prisms (barium-oxide prisms and prisms formed from alloys based on rare-earth elements). Recommendations are cited for calculation of the torque of a cylindrical magnetic clutch with the axial-dimension set of the latter formed from several magnets of various length.
