A simple and reasonably accurate method is proposed for the engineering design on a strength basis for the toroidal shells linked to ring plates with allowance for the stress and strain state of the internal toroidal shell. Two forms of pressing fitting are considered and two modes of calculation based on the canonical equations in the forced method. There is not more than 3% difference between the results from the finite-element method and from the proposed method.
