Abstract
A solution is provided for obtaining especial-purity products subject to the need to obtain simultaneously the maximum possible extraction coefficients. Schemes are given for basic units for isolating one component from an n-component mixture. Three forms of connection are considered for rectification stages designed to produce pure components. A note is made of factors that must be considered for real plant. An expression is derived for the necessary number of mass exchange units.
