Abstract
Four methods of low-pressure polyethylene production, namely, suspension, solution, gas phase, and combined (suspension + gas phase), with a single-or two-reactor technological scheme are examined. A molecular-mass distribution curve is shown for various types of polyethylene. Catalysts and comonomers used are indicated, and merits and demerits of the examined polyethylene production technologies are discussed.
