Use of vortex apparatuses in gas cleaning process

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

Abstract

In view of increasing volumes of gaseous emissions arising from growth of industrial production, it is difficult to use conventional gas cleaning apparatuses because of their limited flow-through capacity. It is necessary to develop new high-efficiency apparatuses capable of ensuring the required degree of cleaning of process gases and emissions. The design of a vortex-type apparatus is shown. In this apparatus, the process occurs under whirling flow conditions, which ensure high flow-through capacity of the apparatus.
