Abstract
Results of a numerical investigation of stress concentration in a large-diameter threaded connection are analyzed in an example of connections between an M190×6 stud and nut (stud-nut) and M190×6 stud and casing flange (stud-flange) of the joint assembly between the casing and cover of a VVÉR-1500 reactor. The finite-element method implemented in the software package COSMOS/M was used to calculate the notch-sensitivity index Kσ in a threaded connection (M190×6).
