Abstract

Roughly estimated releases of hydrocarbon vapors to the atmosphere during transfer operations, and end-user distributions of light petroleum products in the Moscow area and means of their prevention are given. Methods and their characteristic features with respect to the collection and utilization of hydrocarbon vapors from vapor-air mixtures are presented.

A qualitatively new absorption plant with disk heat-and-mass-exchange equipment is presented for the recovery of hydrocarbon vapors, and its advantages over similar developments are indicated.
