Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

The results of studies aimed at improving many performance properties, including the environmental properties, of automotive gasolines by addition of oxygen-containing components, primarily aliphatic alcohols — methanol and ethanol, and reducing the corrosiveness of alcohol-containing fuels are reported. The corrosion inhibitors, antiwear additives, and a metal deactivator that make up the additive package and can increase the efficiency of gasoline-alcohol fuel composites were developed using available feedstock.
