In our publication on the African sharp-tooth catfish invasion in South China—Radhakrishnan et al. (Biological Invasions 13[8]: 1723–1727, 2011)—we duplicated much of the wording of an article we cited by Vitule et al. on invasion in Brazil by the same species (Biological Invasions 8[4]: 677–681, 2006). Our data are original and our results are valid, but this duplication was unacceptable and a violation of the policy of Biological Invasions. We sincerely apologize to Drs. J. R. S. Vitule, S. C. Umbria, J. R. N. Aranha, to the editors of Biological Invasions, and to all others concerned for this lapse.
