Aspects of implementation of professional and educational standards in the use of medical instruments are discussed. The necessity of development of standards for specialists in medical industry for professional and educational purposes is demonstrated. The educational standards are intended to provide necessary competence of students. The approaches to development and improvement of professional and educational standards for specialists in the field of medical instrument use are discussed.
