Analysis of Electrical Activity of the Heart Using Geometrical Parameters

  • Published:
Biomedical Engineering Aims and scope

In this article the influence of geometrical parameters of a heart model on the results of modeling the electrical activity of the heart (EAH) is presented. A multi-dipole model of the heart is taken as a model of the heart as an electric current generator. A number of 3D models of simple geometric figures have been designed by authors for use as test geometric models of the heart. Computing experiments with real electro-cardiac signals and these test models that have same size let us estimate the impact of geometrical characteristics on results of modeling of EAH.
