Specific features of the GOST R 50267.0.3-99 standard for minimum allowable layer of half-attenuation and total filtration of X-ray radiation are discussed. The first half-attenuation layer was demonstrated to be a linear function of X-ray tube anode voltage of a given X-ray apparatus. A method for calculation of the first layer of half-attenuation and the total filtration of X-ray radiation at different values of X-ray tube anode voltage is described. The calculation is performed from the first layer of half-attenuation of a given X-ray apparatus.
