The goal of this work was to develop solid phantoms of biological tissues based on simple materials, such as water, gelatin, milk, and ink. Homogeneous and horizontal-layered phantoms are used in education and research purposes. The research into the phantoms manufactured using the technology suggested in this work was carried out using the Oxiplex TS spectrophotometer (ISS, Inc., USA), which monitors absolute optical parameters of the sample of interest (extinction coefficient and transport scattering coefficient).
