The goal of this work was to describe the new generation equipment for high-resolution sphygmography based on specialized fiber-optic sensors. The unique design structure and signal processing algorithms make it possible to obtain accurate and low-noise data on the fine structure of the pulse-wave pressure in arterial extremities. New fiber-optic sensors of cardiomechanical signals (pulse wave and cardiac vibration) developed at the Blagonravov Research Institute for Machine Science, Russian Academy of Sciences, are described. Sensors with air transmission based on a phonendoscope are also considered.
