The authors present a method for experimental reproduction of stages of the acute respiratory distress syndrome development, including the initial stage -acute pulmonary injury. Concentrated neutrophil transmitters served as the factor triggering the development of the process. The adequacy of the model was confirmed by the clear-cut morphological stages of the process. The possibility of reproducing the syndrome by injection of concentrated neutrophil transmitters confirmed their leading role in impairment of the alveolar capillary membrane.
