In 30 patients with periarthritis of the shoulder joint, therapy with artrofoon relives pain and increases movement range; these effects were comparable with those produced by nonsteroidal antiinfl ammatory preparations. No changes in blood, urine, and ECG parameters were noted. No side effects requiring artrofoon withdrawal were recorded. In the control group, nonsteroidal antiinfl ammatory preparations were withdrawn in 3 patients, in whom symptoms of gastritis developed.
