Abstract
This paper is concerned with the description of the spontaneous regression of a cancer tumor in mice. A model is suggested in which it is assumed that the strategy of resolution of a tumor is chosen by an organism in an optimal way. A goal function is introduced that has the sense of the work to be done by an organism so as to annihilate the cancer tumor. In the course of the solution of the originated minimization problem, it becomes possible to define the class of systems that involves the object under consideration with the preliminary accumulation of injuries in cancer cells. It is assumed that without such a preliminary accumulation of injuries, the immune action does not lead to the extinction of cancer cells.
