Influence of Acting Factors on the Thermal and Stress State of the Geological Structure of a Deep Burial Site for Radwaste

  • Published:
Atomic Energy Aims and scope

The thermal and stress state of a geological structure simulating a deep burial site for radwaste on a section of the Eniseiskii Nizhne-Kanskii massif is examined. An assessment is made of the influence on the thermal and stress state of the enclosing rock of factors such as the heat release by long-lived radioactive waste of hazard class 1 and 2, tectonic stresses acting in the solid granite massif, heterogeneity of the geological structure of the rock mass, etc.
