The problem of handling depleted uranium hexafluoride is discussed. An effective and ecologically safe variant of complex recycling of depleted uranium hexafluoride with uranium oxides, organic compounds, and high-purity silicon tetrafluoride obtained is substantiated. It is shown on the basis of experimental data that the temperature of solid-phase interaction of depleted uranium tetrafluoride with silicon dioxide of different nature by mechanical activation of the latter can be lowered.
