Abstract
Approaches to developing a radiation-monitoring and emergency-response system in the Murmansk region, taking account of the latest changes in the applicable laws, are examined. The requirements for creating and organizing a response to an emergency and interaction wth emergency services are listed, the role and problems of territorial crisis information centers are determined, a typical structure of the radiation-monitoring and emergency-response system is developed, and the current status and prospects for future development in the Murmansk region are described.
