Correlations Between the Morphological Type and Concentration Indices in Different Photometric Bands

  • Published:
Astrophysics Aims and scope

In this work, we continue to examine whether the u-, g-, i- and z-band concentration indices are a good morphological classification tool. Our statistical results demonstrate that compared with the r-band concentration index, the g-band concentration index may be a better choice for use as a parameter in automated morphological classification schemes. The u-band concentration index is the worst choice of the five photometric band concentration indices.
