Abstract
The case of a 39-year-old woman with congenital cystic malformation of the lung and massive elevation of serum CA 19-9 is reported. Congenital cystic malformation of the lung is a rare disease and is generally diagnosed in newborns or infants. The therapy of choice is surgical resection. Elevated levels of tumor markers, for example CA 19-9, have been previously described in individual cases of congenital cystic malformation of the lung.
