Sputum gehört mit Husten und Atemnot zu den wichtigsten Symptomen von Krankheiten der Atmungsorgane. Die Frage nach Farbe, Beschaffenheit und Menge ist in der Anamnese von Patienten unverzichtbar, Hämoptysen erfordern die sofortige Diagnostik.
Abstract
Together with cough and shortness of breath, sputum belongs to the most important symptoms in patients with pulmonary diseases. Therefore, it is important to know all facts concerning colour, nature and amount of sputum. In cases of haemoptysis diagnostic work-up has to start immediately.
