The original article, unfortunately, contained a mistake.
The third sentence under “Introduction” that reads “Taken together, approximately 46 % of all deaths in Germany that year could be attributed to some form of malignant neoplasm (Robert Koch Institute and Association of Population-based Cancer Registries in Germany 2010)” should be corrected to “Taken together, approximately 26 % of all deaths in Germany that year could be attributed to some form of malignant neoplasm (Robert Koch Institute and Association of Population-based Cancer Registries in Germany 2010).”
