Des psychologues au sein d’un réseau de cancérologie

Résumé:

Un nombre croissant de patients rencontrés en oncologie demande une prise en charge psychologique, ce que confirment les associations de malades (États généraux du cancer). Proposer un soutien psychologique hors les murs de l’hôpital, dans le cabinet d’un psychologue, semble une solution, d’une part pour les patients ne souhaitant pas revenir à l’hôpital en dehors des soins médicaux, d’autre part en raison de leur état général et de leur éloignement. Un groupe de travail composé de psychologues libéraux et hospitaliers au sein du réseau Oncoval (réseau de cancérologie de l’Est parisien) a réfléchi sur la prise en charge financière par le réseau de consultations externes. Le projet a permis la rédaction d’un protocole proposé au conseil d’administration du réseau. Il a été adopté dans son principe lors de la dernière assemblée générale. Pourtant, cette démarche suscite de nombreuses résistances d’ordre médical et/ou administratif. Souhaitons toutefois que cette idée se développe et se généralise à l’ensemble des réseaux, afin de répondre aux attentes des patients et de favoriser le maintien du lien psychique.

Abstract:

In oncology, an increasing number of patients ask for psychological care. This is confirmed by patients’ associations. We propose psychological support for the patient, outside the hospital structure, in the psychologist’s consultation room. The patients are not inclined to return to the hospital except for medical care, also because of their health problems and the distance between their home and the hospital. Concerned about continuous care and because a psychological approach of patients was foreseen in the “French Cancer Plan”, we decided to work within a group composed of free-lance and hospital psychologists through the “réseau Oncoval” (cancer network of the east of Paris). This group tried to increase relations between free-lance psychologists and the hospital to obtain financial support and pay external consultations with the “cancer network” budget. This project was included in a protocol presented to the administrative network and approved during the last general meeting. Our project instigated lot of resistance especially from the medical and administration teams. We hope that the work done in the cancer network (Oncoval) will develop to become an answer to patients’ expectations particularly to help them to maintain the psychic links.
