Abstract
Dissociative seizures as a comorbidity of epilepsy pose special problems in their diagnosis and therapy. Many criteria commonly used for differential diagnosis have to be applied to the individual seizure types. In most cases, video-EEG telemetry with complete documentation of all habitual seizure types is indispensable. This overview gives detailed diagnostic criteria and suggests possible therapeutic approaches.
