Abstract
We investigated coagulation parameters in 91 adult patients with epilepsy treated with carbamazepine monotherapy. Thrombocytopenia was detected in three patients, hypofribrinogenemia was measured in nine patients. Two of seven patients with reduced activity of factor VIII, von Willebrand factor or ristocetin co-factor reported bleeding symptoms.
Zusammenfassung
Wir untersuchten 91 erwachsene Patienten mit Epilepsie, die mit einer Carbamazepin-Monotherapie behandelt wurden. Bei drei Patienten wurde eine Thromozytopenie, bei neun Patienten eine Hypofibrinogenämie nachgewiesen. Zwei von sieben Patienten mit einer verminderten Konzentration des Faktor VIII, des von-Willebrand-Faktor oder des Ristocetin-Ko-Faktors berichteten von einer Blutungsneigung.
