Abstract

Menopausal symptoms are the most common complaint for which patients consult a gynaecologist. In an attempt to eliminate symptoms and prevent age-related diseases, the consideration of lifestyle factors, particularly diet, physical activity and stress management, can provide a basis on which further concepts such as naturopathy represent an alternative to hormone replacement therapy. This article presents a review of the current literature about lifestyle factors and naturopathy for climacteric disorders.
