Abstract
A prospective randomized study compared the efficacy of Hericium versus essentials oils fixed on Laetiporus sulfureus against Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection. Twenty-five patients were included. Patients who received Hericium showed negative results for Pyloritop® test in 89.5% of the cases against 33.3% only for patients who started with essential oils. No adverse event was reported. Hericium could be an alternative to antibiotic therapy. Additional randomized study versus referential therapy should be performed to put more focus on treatment devoid of adverse reaction.
