EPCO LIVE Cancer 2016 — Points de vue des pharmaciens sur les faits marquants de l’ASCO 2016 (Chicago, 3–7 juin 2016)

Résumé

L’édition 2016 du Congrès américain de cancérologie a été marquée par l’actualité de l’immunothérapie et les nouvelles techniques de détection des cellules cancéreuses dans le sang circulant dans de nombreuses localisations tumorales, avec des résultats qui renforcent, étude après étude, leur utilisation. Créé à l’initiative de l’EPCO, EPCO LIVE CANCER propose cette année des comptes rendus rédigés en direct à l’ASCO 2016 par deux pharmaciens pour les pharmaciens d’officine. Cet outil de formation et d’information unique en son genre aborde le choix des thérapies, la gestion de la tolérance des traitements mais aussi des solutions innovantes pour améliorer la qualité de vie des patients avant, pendant et longtemps après l’arrêt des anticancéreux.

Abstract

The 2016 American Society of Clinical Oncology Congress was marked by the news of immunotherapy and new techniques for detecting cancer cells in the blood circulating in numerous tumour sites, with results that support their use in study after study. Created as an EPCO initiative, EPCO LIVE CANCER this year is providing reports, written directly from ASCO 2016 by two pharmacists for dispensing pharmacists. This unique training tool and source of information introduces therapy choices, management of treatment tolerance and innovative solutions to improve quality of life for patients before, during and for a long time after stopping cancer treatments.
