Conflits d’intérêts et éthique médicale

Abstract

Since the majority of people have various interests in their life, many conflicts are between the patient and himself/ herself. The physician has to help the patient to realize the different parts of his/her interest in order to choose autonomously at the best for amedical decision. Listening to the patient and many exchanges between him/her and the doctor allow to elucidate the best way to obtain the good or the least evil for the patient.

Résumé

Cette réflexion est centrée sur les conflits entre les divers intérêts d’un même malade. Il peut y avoir conflit entre divers domaines de son existence comme entre divers aspects de sa santé. Le médecin doit l’éclairer sur des enjeux qu’il ne perçoit pas toujours immédiatement, lui laisser exprimer ses préférences et les suivre, sauf renonciation du patient ou impossibilité. Dans tous les cas, un patient autonome est le mieux placé pour déterminer son bien que l’on s’efforcera de réaliser, sans pénaliser d’autres personnes.
