Les enjeux de l'information médicale en cancérologie: information ou communication?

Résumé:

L'information au patient n'est pas que le passage d'un message d'un émetteur professionnel vers un récepteur patient. Un événement aussi bouleversant que la maladie cancéreuse dans la vie d'une personne implique une approche humanisée du médecin vers le patient. Le temps de parole laissée au patient, au-delà de l'interrogatoire codifié que nous avons appris en amphi, permet d'établir une vraie communication entre deux interlocuteurs qui retrouvent ainsi leur statut de personnes. Au-delà de l'information simpliste, (au-delà de la loi?) il s'agit de construire ensemble une relation qui permette à la fois de réaliser un projet thérapeutique mais aussi de réinvestir l'avenir et la vie dans un contexte de maladie grave.

Abstract:

The piece of information to the patient is not that the passage of a message of a professional transmitter towards a patient receiver. An event so deeply moving as the cancerous disease in the life of a person implies an approach humanized by the doctor towards the patient. The time of word left with the patient, beyond the codified interrogation which we learnt, allows to establish a true communication between two interlocutors who so find their status of persons. Beyond the simplistic piece of information, (beyond the law?) it is a question of building together a relation which allows at the same moment to realize a therapeutic project but also to reinvest the future and the life in a context of serious illness.
