Abstract:

Oncoplastic’ surgery of the breast is a new concept regarding conservative treatment of breast cancer. There are many publications on this subject but the right indications of this technique remain imprecise. Based on a review of the literature and on our experience, we defined here which criteria influence the selection of the right procedure of oncoplasty. Before that, it seemed important to us to define oncoplasty and to review its carcinological issues.
