Abstract:

In 2004, radical prostatectomy is one of the acknowledged treatments for localised prostatic cancer. Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy has yet to demonstrate its advantages in comparison to the classic approch. The challenge today for the urologist is “how to choose the good candidate for radical prostatectomy?”. The question for the future is to determine which patients risk over-treatment particularly by surgery.
